The effect of cross training on some physiological variables in football players

Author(s):

Mohammad Ashor Abbas

Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to identifying the effect of cross training on physiological variables (maximum oxygen consumption - oxygen capacity - oxygen power - body mass index) for football players. The researcher used the one-group experimental method to suit the nature of the study. Al-Kut Sports Club football players, numbering 25 players registered with the Iraqi Football Federation. One of the most important results reached by the researcher is that: The cross-training program worked to raise the anoxic capacity and capacity and thus worked to raise the anoxic efficiency of the player, and cross training increased the efficiency of maximum oxygen consumption. One of the most important recommendations recommended by the researchers is that: Using the cross-sectional training program for football players because it helps raise physiological efficiency, and it is necessary to work on such programs in the field of football training because it helps develop the player’s functional status.
