The reality of organizational values in scout team management from the perspective of rovers

Author(s):

Suha Darwesh

Abstract:

This study investigates the current state of organizational values within scout teams in Baghdad Governorate, identifying a noticeable variation in the perception and practical application of these values among different teams. This disparity underscores the necessity of a comprehensive analysis to assess the extent to which organizational values—such as ethical leadership, teamwork, commitment, and responsibility—are recognized and implemented in scout team management from the perspective of rovers.
The study employs a descriptive-analytical methodology to examine the perception and application of these values and their impact on both individual and collective performance. Four core dimensions are addressed: ethical leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and mutual respect. Data were collected from a sample of 76 rover members using a structured questionnaire comprising 34 items to measure organizational values.
The findings indicate that rover team members demonstrate a high level of organizational values, with teamwork ranking as the most significant dimension, holding a relative importance of 27.7%. This result reflects a strong awareness of the role of teamwork in enhancing productivity and fostering interaction within scout teams. Additionally, the study highlights the necessity of reinforcing cooperation and responsibility through targeted training strategies.
Based on these findings, the study recommends the development of specialized programs aimed at enhancing collaboration among team members and promoting ethical leadership to cultivate commitment and discipline. Such initiatives would contribute to the effective and sustainable achievement of scout team objectives.
