This study aims to identify the most effective administration protocol for initiating an over-arm throwing accuracy assessment to determine the optimal approach start from standing, 1.5-meter, and 3-meter distances toward the ball from the 30-yard circle. A sample of 30 male state cricketers of BCCI between the age ranges of 18 to 28 years were selected to serve as the participants in the present study. Further, a descriptive research design was used to investigate sought to ascertain the ideal initial approach for evaluating over-arm throw accuracy from various fielding positions within the 30-yard circle. Purposive sampling was used to select the participants. Data were recorded as successful and unsuccessful hits by participants from the diverse fielding positions within the 30-yard circle and were analysed by using descriptive statistics to assess the impact of the initial approach start on throw accuracy across the different fielding positions. The results indicate that a 3-meter start, or an approach toward the ball from each test item was suitable for the final administration of the test.
