Abstract:

The use of effective training methods in the educational process serves as a complementary element that enhances its efficiency, ultimately leading to impactful learning that saves both time and effort for learners and instructors alike. Through her experience as a shot put instructor, the researcher observed a noticeable weakness in students' ability to learn the fundamental steps of the shot put technique, which consequently affected their performance levels. This issue, frequently encountered by many coaches, demands considerable effort and time to ensure the correct and proficient execution of the event. Despite this, some coaches apply various training methods without a systematic approach, resulting in inconsistent learning outcomes in terms of performance quality and energy efficiency.
Accordingly, the researcher sought to address this problem by examining the effect of using constant and variable practice methods on developing motor abilities and learning the shot put event for students, in line with contemporary advancements in the field.

The objectives of the study were to:

  1. Identify the effect of using both constant and variable practice methods on developing motor abilities and learning the shot put event for students.
  2. Determine the differences between the effects of the constant and variable practice methods on developing motor abilities and learning the shot put event for students.

The main conclusions of the study were as follows:

  1. Both the constant and variable practice methods had a positive effect on developing motor abilities and learning the shot put event for students.
  2. The variable practice method proved to be more effective than the constant practice method in enhancing motor abilities and learning the shot put event for students.

The variable practice method encouraged and motivated students to achieve their best performance without experiencing boredom.
