Abstract:

Following the descriptive method, the study seeks to determine the levels of psychological flow and self-efficacy among students enrolled in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul. Furthermore, this study explores the relationship between psychological flow and self-efficacy among these students. The researcher employed a descriptive methodology utilizing both surveys and correlational techniques that are appropriate for the research's objectives. The study population consisted of students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul for the academic year (2023-2024), totaling (1062) students. The sample included (200) male and female students chosen randomly, of whom (50) were selected to conduct the reliability of the two tools. The research tool included two tools: (psychological flow) and (self-efficacy), as tools for data collection. The scientific coefficients for the tools were found, which included (validity, reliability, and objectivity). The statistical methods used were: (mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient, t-test for one sample, Spearman-Brown formula, hypothetical mean of the tool, percentage). The researcher reached the conclusion that the sample generally enjoys a psychological flow and self-efficacy higher than the hypothetical mean of the two tools, indicating that they generally possess a positive degree that positively affects their academic achievement. Furthermore, there is a significant positive correlation between psychological flow and self-efficacy among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul.
