Pre-start case studies for individual gamers

Author(s):

Mohammed Khalid Awad

Abstract:

This study investigates the psychological pre-start conditions experienced by athletes in individual sports (wrestling, boxing, and judo) from Basra clubs. The research aims to analyze and compare the levels of psychological readiness before competitions among these athletes. Using a descriptive methodology and a standardized pre-start condition scale developed by Mohammad Hassan Alawi, data were collected from selected club players. The results revealed no significant differences between the sports in terms of pre-start conditions, suggesting that the athletes demonstrate a high level of psychological balance, self-confidence, and readiness. The study recommends further research in other sports and emphasizes addressing psychological challenges athletes may face prior to competition.
