Abstract:

This study had aimed at making a model to evaluate cognitive, psychological, and physical capabilities of youth in middle age. Another purpose of the research was to assess the model and to; confirm its validity. The rapid development can be defined as the characteristics of this age category in growth; however, it is the growth not only in the intellectual but also in the motor development which implies the application of tools that take into consideration effectively the uniqueness of each child, but also are objective and accurate. The researcher employed descriptive approach with analytical approach since it suited the nature of the research processes. She further embraced the methods of applied developmental science to create the model that was to be suitable to education applications. The researcher has strived to create the required instruments that would guarantee accuracy and objectivity in rating the areas of note, that is, cognition, psychological and physical abilities. These steps involved the model developed, and they were administered on 300 primary school students (4-6-grade) at Babil Governorate (both female and male). The model that was built by the researcher was proved to be efficient and reliable with the help of the statistical techniques employed. The statistic tool employed to present the exploratory descriptive analysis indicated an excellent existence of factor structure, which clearly represents the expected dimensions. This paper has concluded that there are huge gender differences in certain abilities especially between males and females, and the need to relate assessment findings with assessment characteristics of development. The outcomes have shown that the model is a very good and robust instrument that is comprised in evaluating the students. The model also offers a viable point of direction in the diagnosis of education and the planning of specific interventions. In conducting this research, the author of the research proposes to train teachers on how to use it in schools and extend the areas of application to cover other levels of education and consider performing the necessary adjustment depending on the demands of different ages of people.
