The research problem was revealed by the scarcity of studies that dealt with learning and thinking patterns according to the functions of the two halves of the brain within the sports field, which prompted the researcher to study this phenomenon and identify its relationship to predicting the performance of second-stage female students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Maysan, in rhythmic gymnastics for the academic year 2022-2023. The study also aimed to identify the level of female students’ performance in rhythmic gymnastics and to identify the strength and direction of the correlation between learning and thinking patterns of the research sample members in free movements. To achieve the study objectives and test its hypothesis, the researcher used the descriptive approach and the study of correlational relationships. The research community included second-stage female students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Maysan, numbering (25) students, while the sample was selected randomly, as it included (15) students from the research community. By analyzing and discussing the results using the Biserial correlation law, it was concluded that there was a significant positive correlation between learning and thinking styles to predict students' performance in the forward triple step jump. Based on these findings, the researcher made recommendations, the most important of which is the need to conduct studies on larger samples, including several Iraqi universities.
