The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of exercise with anle weight on leg explosive strength and agility of kabaddi players. To achieve the purpose of the study, thirty college male Kabaddi players were randomly selected from Vanavarayar institute of agriculture, Pollachi, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Their age ranged from 18 to 25years. They were divided into two equal groups. The group I was considered as with ankle weight training group and group II was considered as without ankle weight training group. The investigator did not made any attempt to equate the group. Both the experimental groups were given ankle weight training for five days per week. The experimental groups were given training for the period of six weeks of with and without ankle weight training. Leg epclosive power was assessed by verticle jump and unit of measurement was in centimeters and agility was assessed by 4*10 mts shuttle run and unit of measurement was in seconds. The results of the present study indicates that the with ankle weight training programme are effective method to improve leg explosive strength and agility of college level male Kabaddi players.
