The importance of this research lies in developing proposed therapeutic exercises. The researcher believes these exercises will impact pain levels, range of motion, and the strength of the surrounding muscles in handball players with ankle sprains. Based on the researcher's experience, consultations with specialists in the field, and a review of numerous studies, the frequent occurrence of ankle sprains among handball players was noted, which leads most injured players to seek medical treatment. The researcher also observed that current rehabilitation programs are lengthy and lack modern techniques for treating these injuries.
The research aimed to identify the effect of the proposed therapeutic exercises on rehabilitating partial ankle sprains in handball players. The experimental method was used to address the research problem. The study sample consisted of five (5) advanced handball players from first-division clubs who had suffered ankle sprains and were referred to the medical center at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. These players were diagnosed by a specialist physician. The most important recommendation is to focus on increasing the strength and range of motion of the joint, given its role in improving joint function.
